OPPO owned Realme launched the Realme 2, the company’s another budget smartphone in India last week starting at INR 8,990. It went on sale for the first time on Flipkart at 12PM yesterday. The company has confirmed that it sold 2 lakh units of smartphones in just 5 minutes. Next sale is scheduled for 11th September, which is next Tuesday.

Just to remind, it comes with 6.2-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with notch and 88.8% screen-to-body ratio. It runs on Snapdragon 450 SoC with up to 4GB of RAM, ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo) on th top. It has a 13MP rear camera along with a secondary 2MP camera for portrait shot and an 8MP front camera with AI beautify features. Unlike the Realme 1, it has face unlock as well as fingerprint sensor and a 4230mAh battery.
The company already confirmed that it will launch the Realme 2 Pro this month.
