Google has confirmed its hardware event on October 9th in New York City. The number 3 in invite indicates that it will unveile the Pixel 3 series. Despite rumors gathered around, Google’s own smartwatch is not expected, as the company has confirmed that it has no plans to release this year and they are “focusing on improving Wear OS”.
According to recent rumors, the Pixel 3 will have 5.5-inch FHD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with no-notch and a metal+glass back. It will come with Snapdragon 845 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB internal storage. It will have Dual 8.1MP front cameras with f/1.8 and f/2.2 aperture, respectively, one for IR face unlock, rear mounted fingerprint sensor and a 2,915mAh battery.
The Pixel 3 XL said come with 6.2-inch (1440 x 2960) 19:9 aspect ratio display with notch. Other specifications are expected to be similar to the Pixel 3, but it might packs a slightly bigger 3430mAh battery with support for wireless charging. Both the phones are said to come bundled with a USB Type-C headphones.
