Honor Band 4 Running with 0.5-inch OLED screen, 50-meter water resistance announced in India


Huawei’s Honor Brand introduced the Honor Band 4 Running Edition, after it launched the Honor Band 4 in the country last month. It has a 0.5-inch POLED display and comes with 6-axis sensor that offers improved running detection by measuring cadence, step length, ground contact time, foot strike pattern, landing impact, eversion excursion and swing angle.


It comes with a foot mode lets you attach the band to your shoes using the shoe buckle. The upgraded running posture algorithm improve the accuracy upto 95% of running distance mesasured says Honor.  It is also water resistant up to 50 meters. The 77mAh battery promises up to 20 days of standby and up to two weeks of battery life.

Honor Watch Magic with 1.2-inch AMOLED display, Swimproof design, Heart rate monitor, GPS announced in India starting at INR 13,999


Huawei’s Honor Brand has announced Honor Watch Magic smartwatch in India along with the Honor View20 smartphone. It was introduced back in November last year.

It sports a 1.2-inch (390 x 390 pixels) AMOLED color display with 326 PPI pixel density. It comes with a dual-crown design with 9.8mm stainless steel case. The body is made of 316L cold forged stainless steel and Black and Red, two-tone finish on its silicone strap.

It also supports all-round sports activity tracking including indoor exercises, outdoor running, mountain climbing, cycling, and open water swimming. It comes with TruSeen 3.0 heart rate monitoring technology tracks the user’s active and resting heart rate.


It can simultaneously tap into GPS, GLONASS, and GALILEO, three of the major satellite positioning systems, for precise positioning. It can monitor the heart rate of users in real time with high precision. The TruRelax Technology analyses heart rate variability and accesses your stress status.

Vivo expected to launch V15 Pro, pop-up camera phone in India on February 20


Vivo India today sent out invites for the launch of a new smartphone on February 20th. The invite suggest that the phone come with a pop-up camera. This could be the rumored V15 Pro, successor of the V11 Pro that was launched in India back in September last year.


A recent leak revealed that the phone will feature triple rear cameras. There is a opening on the top that will let you raise the camera for capturing selfies. It will likely come with a FullView display with minimal bezels and an in-display fingerprint scanner, similar to the predecessor.

The mid-range smartphone is said to be priced under INR 30,000, similar to the V11 Pro, and it said to launch as X25 in China around the same time or in early March. We should know more details about the smartphone in the coming weeks.

ASUS’s new ZenBook 13, 14 and 15 with NanoEdge display launced in India



ASUS has launched three new ZenBook series of laptops in India, that were introduced at the IFA last year. These were named the ZenBook 13 (UX333), ZenBook 14 (UX433) and ZenBook 15 (UX533).

As per the company all these are world’s most compact 13.3-inch, 14-inch, and 15.6-inch laptops. These come with frameless ASUS NanoEdge display with ultraslim bezels with a 95% screen-to-body ratio.



These feature the latest quad-core 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor with integrated Gigabit Wi-Fi optimized for Intel Wireless-AC 9560 and up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q graphics. The ScreenPad doubles up as a number pad.

The ASUS Zenbook 13 (UX333FA) is priced at INR 71,990 for the 256GB storage and INR 88,990 for the 512GB storage version. The ASUS Zenbook 14 (UX433FA) is priced at INR 72,990 and INR 89,990 for the 256GB And 512GB storage respectively. The Zenbook 15 (UX533FD) is priced at INR 1,39,990. These come in Royal Blue and Icicle Silver colors. These will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart starting from today 3PM.

HONOR View20 with 6.4-inch All-View Display, 48MP + 3D TOF dual rear cameras launched in India starting at Rs. 37999


Huawei’s HONOR brand has launched the HONOR View20 smartphone in India, as it had promised. It was introduced as V20 in China last month and was introduced for global markets at an event in Paris last week.

It comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ All-View Display with 91.82% screen-to-body ratio. It is p[owered by Kirin 980 SoC with GPU Turbo 2.0, the NINE liquid cooling and up to 8GB of RAM.

It comes with a 48MP rear camera with Sony IMX586 1/2-type (8.0 mm diagonal) sensor, uses 4-in-1 light fusion that outputs better low-light images at 12MP resolution. It also has a 25MP front camera with just 4.5mm cut out.



It also has a TOF 3D secondary rear camera that lets you play games using 3D gesture recognition by capturing body movements.

It has a V-shaped texture on the glass back with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It packs with a 4000mAh battery with support for fast charging.

It will be available offline through Reliance Digital starting from February.

Samsung Galaxy S10 launch event set for February 20 in San Francisco


Samsung has sent out invites for its Galaxy Unpacked event 2019 in San Francisco on February 20th. It will unveil its flagship Galaxy S10 series in the event, just before the MWC 2019 in Barcelona from February 25th.


Earlier rumors reveled three variants of S10 with 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.4-inch Infinity- O screens with an in-screen camera. There will a Qualcomm-built in-display fingerprint scanner for top-end S10 and S10+ models, while the Galaxy S10 E (Lite) is said to skip it for a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.


The flagships will be powered by the Exynos 9820 8nm SoC with Tri-cluster CPU, with an integrated NPU, up to 2Gbps LTE-Advanced Pro modem. While the variant that will sell in the U.S. will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 855. Camera details and other specifications are still a mystery.

Earlier rumores revealed that the phone will be available for pre-order soon after the announcement and go on sale from 8th of March. We should know more details soon.


Samsung releases Android Pie roll out schedule for eligible devices


Samsung started rolling out the stable Pie update to the S9 and S9+ devices. Samsung has also provided a detailed timeline of when the new One UI interface based on Pie will be available and for which device.

The list shows Pie update to Note 9 in February and March for Galaxy S8 and Note 8 series.

It is dissapointing that the S7 and S7 Edge won’t be getting the Pie update based One UI. But It is good to see Samsung releasing a timeline even for mid-range phones and hope it sticks to it.


Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ One UI based Android 9.0 Pie stable update starts rolling out

S8_cutSamsung has finally started rolling out Android Pie update to Galaxy S9 and S9+ owners. The stable Android Pie update is rolling out to the Galaxy S9 and S9+ in Germany. It will come with the new One UI. The update seems to have been released for those on Android Oreo and not just beta testers.

The software version for the final update is G960FXXU2CRLI and G965FXXU2CRLI for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ respectively.


The update is around 1.7GB and brings December security patch as well. One UI based on Android Pie brings a brand new look to the interface. If you’re a Galaxy S9 or S9+ owner, do check for the update from the Settings » Software update. As said, the update is rolling out to both those running on Android Oreo and Pie beta testers.


Samsung Galaxy S10 launch details, storage variants, pricing and more surfaced



We’ve got a leak about the upcoming Galaxy S10 for you. According to a new report, the launch date, release date, storage sizes, screen sizes, variants, some features, and even the UK price points have leaked. 

According to the report, The S10 will launch at a Samsung Unpacked event before the Mobile World Congress 2019, on the 20th of February. The phone will be available for pre-order the same date and will then be released on Friday the 8th of March.

There’ll be three versions of the S10: the regular variant, a Plus variant, and a flat variant – Yes, they’re bringing back the non-curved screen. As expected, the S10 will come with the Infinity O display to contain the selfie camera and avoid having a notch.

Like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, the S10 will be able to wirelessly charge other devices with a feature they’re calling Powershare. We don’t yet know the battery sizes, though. it will also have a regular 3.5mm headphone jack.

The regular version of the Galaxy S10 will have a 6.1-inch screen. The Plus variant will have a 6.4-inch screen, while the cheaper ‘flat’ version of the phone will be 5.8 inches. It will use ultrasound waves to read the ridges of your finger in 3D. There will be no iris scanner on the S10.

The regular S10 flat 5.8-inch version is said to come in 128GB of storage and retail at £669 ($848 or INR 60,730 approx.). The regular, curved version of the S10 with its 6.1-inch screen will come in a choice of 128GB or 512GB of storage is said to be priced at £799 ($1,012 or INR 72,517 approx.) and £999 ($1,264 or INR 90,668.41 approx.) respectively. The S10+ in a 128GB version costs £899 ($1,144 or INR 81,592 approx.), a 512GB version is expected to come at £1099 ($1,392 or INR 99,793 approx.), and a one terabyte Samsung Galaxy S10+ for a bank-breaking £1399 ($1,772 or INR 1,27,005 approx.).

The Galaxy S10 will likely have three cameras on the back, we don’t have any more info on that yet. Though there will be a 5G variant at launch, it will be available in late Q2, 2019.


ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 with 6.26-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 660, 5000mAh battery launched in India starting at INR 12,999


ASUS just launched the Zenfone Max Pro M2 at an event in India, as it had promised. The Zenfone Max Pro M2 comes with a 6.26-inch FHD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and a notch. It has a glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

It is powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset with upto 6GB of RAM. It runs on stock Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is upgradable to Android 9.0 (Pie) in January 2019. It has a 12MP rear camera along with a 5MP secondary camera. It also has a 13 front camera, both cameras comes with LED flash. It also has support for face unlock. The company said that it will get AI features and EIS for front camera with an update soon.


It has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, dedicated dual SIM and microSD slots with Dual 4G VoLTE support. It has a huge 5000mAh battery, but it still has micro USB port without fast charging.
